- 9 soft Medjool Dates
- 1 matzah square
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup melted semi-sweet chocolate
- Flaky salt
Topping Options:
- Dried cranberriesÂ
- Chopped nuts
- RaisinsÂ
Preparation

1. Prepare the Dates:
Slice each date open down the center, remove the pit, and spread it open like a butterfly.
2. Arrange the Dates:
Arrange the dates in three rows of three, placing them face down on a sheet of parchment paper.
3. Flatten the Dates:
Place another sheet of parchment paper on top, then use a rolling pin to flatten the dates slightly.
4. Press the Matzah:
Remove the top parchment and gently press the matzah square onto the dates, being careful not to crack it.
5. Flip the Matzah:
Flip the matzah over so the date side is facing up.
6. Melt the Peanut Butter:
Melt the peanut butter in the microwave for about 20 seconds, then pour and spread it evenly over the dates.
7. Melt the Chocolate:
Melt the chocolate, then pour and spread it over the peanut butter layer.
8. Add Toppings:
Sprinkle with flaky salt and any toppings of your choice.
9. Freeze:
Place in the freezer to set. It won’t freeze solid, so you can enjoy it straight from the freezer!
10. Break and Enjoy:
Break into pieces and enjoy—because who needs store-bought Passover desserts when you have this?
