About the Recipe

This avocado salad is a staple in my household — simple, fresh, and full of flavor every time.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados, halved and thinly sliced

  • 1 shallot, diced (or ½ red onion)

  • ¼ bunch fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 1 red Fresno chili, thinly sliced

  • Olive oil, for drizzling

  • Salt, to taste

  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice for each avocado half

Preparation

Directions:

  1. Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and slice thinly. Arrange on a serving plate.

  2. Sprinkle each half with a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of lemon juice.

  3. Top with diced shallot (or red onion), chopped cilantro, and sliced Fresno chili.

  4. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil.

  5. Serve immediately while the avocados are fresh.
